The Bounty of Benton County

September 5th and 6th, 2009

1:00pm to 4:00pm

Alsea Anagama Kiln at Jay Widmer’s Digger Mountain Studio, Alsea, Oegon

I will be participating as one of the crew members when we fire the Alsea Anagama (aka Digger Mountain Anagama) over Labor Day weekend.  The Alsea Anagama is one of the tour sites for the Bounty of Benton County event.  A percentage of the proceeds will go to support the Strengthening Rural Families program.  By purchasing a Passport (see the Bounty of Benton County website for locations) you will be able to watch us fire this incredible wood-fired anagama kiln.  This is a rare treat to view the anagama during a firing as these kilns are generally not open to the public during firings.

Here is a link to an article about Jay Widmer and the Alsea Anagama kiln that appeared in the Corvallis Gazette Times on September 7th, 2009.
